So, I haven't posted any Hammer film fan art in awhile so here's a good way to (almost) end the year. 'The Vampire Lovers' from 1970. This is one of my faves, and Ingrid Pitt is just fantastic in this one.
Man, I REALLY need to try to track down all those great Hammer movies. Of course, I'll probably buy all of them, only to have them all released on Blu-Ray 6 months later!!
Frog Queen, I'm glad you like it. :D Since it's one of my favorite Hammer films, I really wanted it to turn out nice. I was pretty pleased with the results.
Prof. grewbeard, Vampire Circus is one of the few Hammer Horrors that I've NEVER seen. I am hoping that it will get released on DVD soon, along with 'Hands of the Ripper' and 'Twins of Evil'. I have a really old third gen VHS copy of 'Twins'.
Gill-Man, I'm going to try and hold out on upgrading to Blu-Ray as long as possible. In fact, the only way they'll get me to switch is when they stop making DVD's altogether. I will say that you can get some Hammer for very cheap. There is a Dracula disc that has 4 movies on 1 disc. And 'Vampire Lovers' is available on a Midnite Movies double feature disc with 'Countess Dracula'. Both are about $10 each.
I agree with the other comments; it's definitely among my favorites. I am a HUGE fan of Ingrid Pitt and am absolutely head over heels in love with her.
In other news, I've bestowed upon you an award: http://fasterpussycats.blogspot.com/2010/01/its-award-time.html
