Art Jumble was 'Evil', so with the movie 'Fright Night' on the brain, I decided that I would draw the character 'Evil Ed'. While I'm not usually a big fan of remakes, there are occasionally some good ones. I've actually been looking forward to the new 'Fright Night' and it has had fairly positive reviews from what I've seen. So I will be going to see it, possibly this Monday. And funny enough, I will be going to see it in the same theater that I saw the original in, back in 1985. Scary.
My concept behind this piece was to do it in the style of a sticker from the 80's. I'm pretty sure it translates as such. :)
haha! this is great, I thought the remake was pretty solid, but then I never thought the original was that great. I think you should have put the cross burn on ed's forehead just for that added touch of detail.
ReplyDeleteThat's really good! But the remake really needed more Evil Ed. Much more.
ReplyDeleteThe 80's were full of awesomeness. Amazing movies, killer music and videos, arcades galore, and PARACHUTE PANTS! (okay, maybe you can have too many zippers). The Goonies and Legend were two of my favorites from 1985...along with Fright Night.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on Evil Ed! I can hear his voice saying, "You're so cool, Brewster!" hehe.
Thanks!! I still haven't seen the re-make yet. I'll probably go this upcoming Monday. And I'm still going to go see it at the same theater I saw the original.
ReplyDeleteGreat work lady....as ALWAYS! Got any Halloween stuff up your sleeve for this year?
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendy!! Oh, I'm working on some Halloween stuff alright. I've been trying to prepare stuff for the countdown this year. Won't all be art stuff, but they'll be some new pieces to be sure!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting work in this blog, I follow you!
ReplyDeleteThank you Claudio!
