I was watching Dracula AD 1972 again the other day and it just struck me that Johnny Alucard is actually pretty hot. I really love the colors in the coffee house the kids hang out in so I wanted to play that up. Christopher Neame as Johnny Alucard.

The Trouble with Jack Burton

This is my 2nd version of Kurt Russell as Jack Burton from 'Big Trouble in Little China'. It's about the same as the first, but I finally drew in his left arm. This is one of those drawings I could probably tweek forever, but I'm just going to share it & move on....

Dracula AD 1972

Here is a piece I did for the most recent issue of Little Shoppe of Horrors (#22). For those who may not know, Little Shoppe of Horrors is a fantastic magazine dedicated to Hammer Horror. Haunted

Two things I love: One, Any cartoon from the 1920's-1940's that has dancing skeletons, ghosts, graveyards, haunted houses, etc. Two, Any spooky novelty song from 1900's-1940's that has crazy whistles and wot-not. Usually sounds like it came from a cartoon with dancing skeletons, ghosts, graveyards, haunted houses, etc.
So I did this little cartoon of myself here, representing that.

A Rather Morbid Reaction to Sunlight...

About a year or so ago, over at the Classic Horror Film Board, artist & actor Frank Dietz started an art challenge thread. Once a month Frank posts a topic, and anyone on the board can post their works of art, based on this topic. I decided at the beginning of 2009, I would begin taking part in this challenge, because I want to refine my skills as an artist. It is NOT a contest. It's just an exercise, for fun, and there are a lot of great artists who contribute. Now, with all that explained, I share with you my submission for February 2009.

Topic/Subject: Vincent Price.

I had originally wanted to do something that would tie in with his ghost story records, but I never got that worked out like I wanted. So I decided to go with Verden Fell from 1964's 'The Tomb of Ligeia'. This is one of my favorite Vincent Price films and I have wanted to draw up something from it, for awhile now. 

Margaret/Tera

This took me longer than expected, but I finally finished it (for now anyway). It may go back to the drawing board at some point. I have trouble drawing some of my favorite Hammer stars because I want them to be perfect. Or at least perfect to me. That is probably why it will be awhile before I have an Ingrid Pitt piece to post.
