Animala art by Will Meugniot

Here are two more fantastic Animala pieces from artist Will Meugniot. Meugniot is best known in comics for his co-creation of The DNAgents and newest creation, The N.E.D.O.R. Agents, while in animation he is credited as producer and director of many hit series including X-Men, Jem and ExoSquad. Artist Lee Copeland's Lost Skeleton Tribute

Boy, oh Boy! The fantastic art just keeps coming! Today's piece is by another super talented artist, Lee Copeland. Look at all that 'Lost Skeleton' action! I can feel the atmospherium. Lee is also a 'Little Shoppe of Horrors' contributor, with his work appearing in the most recent issue featuring Roman Polanski's film 'Dance of the Vampires' or 'The Fearless Vampire Killers'.

I'd like to take a minute again, to thank all of you who have taken part in this tribute so far. Due to last minute planning on the part of my employers, it turns out that I will have to work this weekend (which was NOT, part of my schedule). But, luckily, I'll be able to prepare blogs to post at a certain time daily, as I did for this past Mon-Wed. Still lots of great stuff to come, and I'm still expecting a few things to roll in. Animala by Aidan Casserly

I'm part of a caricature group on Facebook, and the week before Halloween there was a Vincent Price drawing challenge on. I was looking through the submissions when I noticed Aidan's work. So I went to his website, to have a look at some of his other illustrations. When what did I find? I found 'The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra'! Lost Skeleton Art from Andrew Barr

Now for your viewing pleasure, I bring you three pieces by the very talented illustrator, Andrew Barr. Above is a new Dr. Paul Armstrong piece, submitted especially for this tribute! In addition, I wanted to share these other two pieces that Barr did. All three are from the Lost Skeleton sequel, 'The Lost Skeleton Returns Again'.

The Many Pin-ups of Animala from Rock Baker

Animala is a very popular character from the Lost Skeleton films. Even I have drawn her twice before. Here are some wonderful Animala pieces from Rock Baker done in a Dan DeCarlo-like style. Rock Baker has done work for AC Comics, Main Enterprises, and Moonstone, among others. Some of his regular strips include DINOSAUR GIRL (AC Comics, creator/writer/pencils), ROWENA (AC, regular pencils), and BETSY THE BOOKWRITER (Main, co-creator, writer, pencils). Welcome to the Lost Skeleton Tribute!

Greetings one and all! For the next two weeks, I will be hosting a tribute to Larry Blamire's films, 'The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra' and 'The Lost Skeleton Returns Again'. First a few words from me about 'The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra'.
I was browsing through a local DVD store back in 2005, when I saw some movie on the shelf called 'Lost Skeleton of Cadavra'. It looked like something I might like, so I rented it and took it home to watch. I was instantly hooked on this movie. I loved it so much, I actually kept out the DVD from the store until I was able to order my own copy, which I watched repeatedly. It's cleaver, it's fun, and I always recommend this film to anyone who will listen to me. In 2009, I actually met Larry Blamire and it was awesome to shake his hand and let him know how much joy he'd brought to my world.

And now, let the skeleton posting begin. Our post today, is from the man who brought us the Lost Skeleton, writer/director/actor, Larry Blamire:

As a person who once dreamed of a world where a living, breathing (well), walking, sarcastic, bombastic and egotistical skeleton could exist for real, on a movie screen, I am proud and extremely unapathetic towards our growing and enthusiastic fanbase (like a submarine base, only with fans moving in and out of port, instead of subs). I am particularly grateful to those wonderful fans whose expressions of pure Skelly love extend to art and costumes and models (and the occasional parade float). We truly have the best. Not least among them, the awesome hostess of this tribute, Rondo Award-winning Belle Dee whose unique style has honored us with several wicked cool pieces over the years.
